Anneke Scott - Horn

Anneke Scott began studying natural horn at the Royal Academy of Music, London, with Andrew Clark. She then furthered her studies with Claude Maury in France and Teunis van der Zwart in Amsterdam. Her studies abroad were generously funded by The Countess of Munster Fund, The Martin Musical Trust and The John Wates Trust.

She is a regular principal horn with The English Concert, The Symphony of Harmony and Invention and Freiburg Baroque Orchestra as well as working with other European groups such as The Academy of Ancient Music, Concerto Caledonia, Concerto Copenhagen, English Baroque Soloists, Europa Galante, The Kings Consort, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Orchestre des Champs Élysées.
For many years she has had a keen interest in chamber music which has led to her becoming a founder member of The Etesian Ensemble. She also frequently performs solo horn and fortepiano recitals with the fortepianist Kathryn Cok. At the other end of the spectrum she has performed with the specialist contemporary music ensemble London Sinfonietta and can be heard on two albums with The Nigel Waddington Big Band.
